    3 credits (2 semesters)/.5 Credit Technical English (2 Semesters)/.5 Credit Technical Math (2 Semesters)

    Certifications: ServSafe Handler & manager, ServSafe Food Allergen, AAFCS Certificate

    *Prerequisite: Foods I and Foods II recommended

    *Fee: required to cover SkillsUSA membership, t-shirt, and chef's coat

    Course Description:

    The Culinary Arts program is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of cooking and food preparation. The program targets students interested in careers in the culinary arts, restaurants, and the related hospitality industry. Students will develop skills in sanitation and safety, recipe development, food production, and plate presentation. Skills in customer service, menu design, and catering are also addressed. Membership in SkillsUSA is required, where students will develop leadership skills by participating in events and competitions.
