Course Description:
Precision Machining and Automation have numerous occupations and career paths that are related to it. All things manufactured have one thing in common: all had highly skilled machine tool professionals to help produce the manufactured product. Precision Machining and Automation is a course where students can have hands-on experience to prepare them for the exciting world of manufacturing. For students looking to advance careers in Precision Machining and Automation, several colleges and universities offer related courses in millwright, tool and die maker, industrial maintenance, quality control, engineering, and educational degrees. This course offers students basic theory, safety, and practice skills for milling machines, lathes, CNC programming, robotics, 3-D printing, and computer-aided manufacturing. All students have the opportunity to participate in SkillsUSA. This organization offers opportunities for completion, leadership, community service, and conference attendance.
